Hurricane Milton: Florida Governor DeSantis issued a State of Emergency

On October 6, 2024, Governor Ron DeSantis issued Executive Order (EO) 24-215, Emergency Management – Amending Executive Order 24-214– Hurricane Milton, increasing the number of counties in the state of Florida under a state of emergency to 51 ahead of the storm.
