Hurricane Isaias: Early Prescription Refills Permitted Under State of Emergency

On October 6, 2026, Executive Order 26-202 was issued by Governor Ron DeSantis, authorizing pharmacists to dispense up to a 30-day emergency prescription refill of maintenance medication to those living in areas covered under the Executive Order. Additionally, on October 7, 2026, Emergency Order 26-001 was issued by State Surgeon General Joseph A. Ladapo, MD, PhD. The Florida Board of Pharmacy meets six times a year. The full Board meetings include disciplinary cases, application review, correspondence items, committee reports, policy and rule discussion items and other necessary Board actions.

Please note there are deadlines associated with each meeting and materials submitted after the deadline will be subject to review and approval by the Chair of the Board. Please email the Board at MQA.Pharmacy@FLHealth.gov for information on submission of materials.
